STMicroelectronics NFC Dynamic Tag Sensor Node Evaluation Board with STLQ015, HTS221, ST25DV64K, LIS2DW12 STEVAL-SMARTAG1

STMicroelectronics STEVAL-SMARTAG1 is an advanced NFC Dynamic Tag Sensor Node Evaluation Board designed for prototyping and development in Internet of Things and smart sensor applications. It integrates core components including the STLQ015 linear regulator for power management, the HTS221 capacitive sensor for relative humidity and temperature, and the ST25DV64K NFC dynamic tag with a 64K-bit EEPROM supporting I2C and energy harvesting functions. The board also features the LIS2DW12 ultra-low-power three-axis accelerometer and the LPS22HB piezo-resistive absolute pressure sensor, capable of barometric measurements from 260 to 1260 hPa.

The embedded STM32L031K6 ARM Cortex-M0+ microcontroller operates at 32 MHz frequency with 32 KB of Flash memory and 8 KB of RAM, enabling efficient data processing and sensor interfacing. The board is powered by a CR2032 battery (not included), and supports interaction with Android and iOS platforms through dedicated demo applications allowing developers to assess sensor data remotely.

This evaluation kit is built to support capacitive, MEMS, and piezo-resistive technologies, making it suitable for applications such as smart packaging, supply chain and cold chain management, smart agriculture including soil and animal tracking, medical and pharmaceutical monitoring, smart buildings, and retail environments. Its compliance with NFC Forum type V standards ensures wide compatibility and secure wireless communication.
