Product Description
RS PRO 180-5967 Green Hook Up Wire 22 AWG is designed for industrial electrical applications such as wiring in switchgear, control panels, meter panels, and relays. The cable is commonly used for internal connections within rectifier equipment, motor starters, and controllers.
The wire comprises 16 flexible copper strands each measuring 0.2 mm, enveloped in a heat-resistant polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation jacket in green color. This insulation provides excellent flame retardant properties complying with BS EN 50265, VW-1, and FT-1 flame standards, and is resistant to oil exposure at temperatures up to 60°C.
This tri-rated cable supports alternating voltages up to 600 V to earth and direct voltages up to 1000 V to earth, withstanding test voltages up to 4 kV RMS for one minute. Its maximum operating temperature is rated at 105°C, suitable for use in demanding electrical cabinet environments and industrial settings.
