Product Description
3M 431 19MMX55M Conductive Metallic Tape features a 2-mil nominal dead soft aluminium foil backing with a transparent acrylic adhesive that offers reliable conductivity and sealing performance. This tape is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 149°C, making it suitable for applications requiring durable heat and light reflective protection.
Designed for industrial, automotive, HVAC, and manufacturing uses, it provides flame resistance compliant with U.L. 723, Class L low flammability rating. The aluminium foil backing ensures excellent reflective capability for heat and light, and the tape has good aging performance indoors and outdoors.
Applications include permanent sealing, holding, splicing, masking, and patching. It is especially effective for sealing tears in truck trailers and outdoor equipment, while also suitable for indoor sealing tasks. It can also be used decoratively and for splicing thin gauge foils. However, it is not intended for medical use.
