ADAFRUIT INDUSTRIES 3028 FeatherWing Precision Real Time Clock Add On Board is designed specifically for Feather development boards, integrating the DS3231 real time clock with a temperature compensated crystal oscillator. This module delivers superior accuracy and low power consumption, ideal for precise timekeeping applications in embedded systems.

The FeatherWing RTC adds an accurate I2C-based real time clock function, compensating for temperature-induced timing errors by using an internal crystal and sensor. This eliminates the drift issues common with typical 32 kHz timing crystals. The RTC board fits directly on top of Feather boards using stacking header pins, providing seamless integration and compact design.

Equipped with a CR1220 12 mm coin cell battery holder, the clock maintains accurate timekeeping even when main power is disconnected. Note that the CR1220 battery is sold separately.
