Product Description

Goodfellow MPLATE 2/50/50 is a machinable glass ceramic ceramic sheet measuring 50 mm by 50 mm with a thickness of 2 mm. Manufactured from Macor® machinable glass ceramic, this ceramic sheet is ideal for applications requiring precision machining, outstanding strength, and thermal resistance in industrial and laboratory environments.

This ceramic sheet is white in color and exhibits zero water absorption, non-wetting properties, and 0% porosity which prevents deformation and chemical ingress. It can withstand continuous operating temperatures up to 800°C and maximum no-load temperatures of 1000°C without degradation.

The material features a hardness rating of A 48 Rockwell and fracture toughness of 1.53 MPa, with a compressive strength of 35 kg/mm², making it suitable for demanding mechanical and thermal applications. Its thermal conductivity of 1.46 W/mK facilitates effective heat management within operational settings.
