EAO 31-481.036 Illuminated Push Button Switch with button actuator type, compliant with RoHS standards and manufactured in Switzerland, is designed for various Human Machine Interface (HMI) panel mounting applications. The illuminated push button switch features illumination through a T1 ¾ midget groove filament lamp or a single chip LED that operates between 6 and 48V depending on the configuration. For supply voltages exceeding 48V, an external series resistor is necessary to ensure safe operation. The product supports snap action switching elements which are self-cleaning with a double break system, ideal for quick and stable switching along with solder terminals. Alternatively, low level switching elements cater to low power loads from 10μA at 100μV up to 100mA at 42Vac/dc, with universal terminals allowing for soldering or PCB mounting.

The push button switches require a panel cut-out diameter of 16mm and fit panels with thicknesses ranging from 1.5 to 6mm. The housing and actuator material is self-extinguishing and the switch meets Class II compliance having passed the IEC 60512-2-11 standard for electric strength up to 2500Vac at 50Hz for 1 minute, between all terminals and earth. The buttons have a long operational life with a short rebound time and stable contact resistance.

The switch illumination uses filament lamps or LEDs, depending on the configuration. Available bezel shapes include round (18mm diameter), square (18x18mm) and rectangular (18x24mm), allowing flexibility for different panel layouts.
