MikroElektronika MIKROE-1444 is a sensor development tool tailored for precise lightning detection, featuring the mikroBUS™ pinout standard to facilitate straightforward interfacing with compatible development platforms. This board integrates the A53935 lightning sensor paired with an MA5532 coil antenna to detect lightning noise and calculate the estimated distance to the storm center.

Designed to operate on either 3.3 V or 5 V power supplies, the Thunder click mikroBUS™ board is suitable for a broad spectrum of applications including weather monitoring stations, wearable watches, sports equipment, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and GPS devices that benefit from real-time lightning data.

The device complies with RoHS regulations, confirming material safety standards. It is delivered with header strips pre-soldered, simplifying the process of adding this sensor to an existing mikroBUS™ compatible setup.
