Product Details

The thermocouples are used to measure temperature. Thermocouples consist of two wires that are connected together at their ends. One wire is called the hot side and the other is the cold side. When current passes through the hot wire, it gets heated up and causes heat to radiate outwards. This is how we know that something is hot. In the same way, if the cold side of the thermocouple is heated up, then the outside air around it becomes colder. This is how we can tell whether something is cold or not.Thermocouples have many uses in science and technology. They are often used to measure the temperature inside of furnaces, ovens, or even volcanoes! Thermocouples are also used to measure the temperature of liquids like water or oil. They are also used to detect the temperature of gases like air or steam. Thermocouplers are also used to measure temperatures in engines, gas turbines, and nuclear reactors.
  • They are self-powered, requiring no excitation, and can operate over a wide temperature range (up to to 2000°C).
