Product Description
The RS PRO 199-769 NiMH Rechargeable Battery is engineered for high-performance and reliability in demanding industrial applications, such as emergency lighting units and battery backup systems. With a nominal voltage of 1.2V and a substantial battery capacity of 2.6Ah, this battery offers consistent energy delivery for critical devices.
Featuring Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) chemistry, this battery surpasses traditional NiCd options in performance, providing greater longevity and improved recharge cycles. The tagged termination design simplifies installation, making it suitable for emergency lighting configurations where rapid replacement and secure connections are essential.
Its robust construction allows operation in high temperature environments, supporting a maximum operating temperature of 60°C and a minimum of -10°C. This wide temperature range enhances its versatility across various industrial, laboratory, and commercial settings, ensuring that the battery maintains functionality under challenging conditions.
The compact 22.6mm diameter and lightweight build at 55g enable easy integration into devices with space constraints. Manufactured in compliance with IEC 61436, this battery meets strict quality and safety standards. The RS PRO NiMH rechargeable battery is ideal for facilities seeking reliable, maintenance-friendly battery backup and emergency power solutions, including manufacturing plants, HVAC installations, laboratory instruments, and commercial infrastructure.
Nickel Metal Hydride technology allows for fast charging and reduces memory effect, making it an excellent choice for backup applications requiring quick restoration of power. The battery is supplied with a residual charge and should be fully charged at the continuous charge rate before use. As a precaution, batteries should not be connected in parallel to prevent performance issues.
