Chemical Safety Training

Chemical Safety Training educates personnel on safe chemical handling and emergency response practices. It includes hazard identification, PPE usage, SDS awareness, spill management, and storage safety. The program is conducted in accordance with the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemicals (MSIHC) Rules, 1989, Factories Act, 1948, and applicable occupational safety guidelines. It supports regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and environmental protection requirements. The training strengthens risk awareness, improves emergency preparedness, and promotes safer industrial operations.

Scope of service: We train employees on the hazards of chemicals they work with, based on Safety Data Sheets (SDS). The training covers chemical classification, labeling (GHS), safe storage practices (incompatibility, segregation), proper use of PPE, spill response, and emergency procedures. The goal is to prevent chemical accidents and exposures in the workplace.

Process flow: Review of chemicals used on-site and their SDSs → Development of site-specific training content → Training on hazard identification (GHS pictograms), routes of exposure, and health effects → Instructions on safe handling, transfer, and storage procedures → Practical session on selection and use of appropriate PPE → Outline of emergency procedures for spills and exposures.
