Product Description

The RIGOL DSA800 Series Spectrum Analyzer, available in DSA815, DSA815-TG, DSA832, DSA832-TG, DSA832E, DSA832E-TG, DSA875, and DSA875-TG models, is a compact RF test instrument designed for spectrum analysis, signal testing, EMI diagnostics, electronic manufacturing, engineering education, and laboratory research. The series provides model-specific frequency coverage from 9 kHz up to 7.5 GHz, making it suitable for analysing a wide variety of radio-frequency and communication signals.

Built with advanced all-digital intermediate-frequency technology, the RIGOL DSA800 Series provides high frequency resolution, low displayed average noise levels, and accurate amplitude measurements. A displayed average noise level as low as -161 dBm with a compatible preamplifier helps users identify weak signals, interference, harmonics, and unwanted emissions.

Its resolution bandwidth ranges from 10 Hz to 1 MHz, while video bandwidth ranges from 1 Hz to 3 MHz. These adjustable settings enable detailed separation and analysis of closely spaced signals. Model-specific phase-noise performance better than -98 dBc/Hz at a 10 kHz offset supports demanding RF measurements and signal-quality evaluation.

  • Model-specific frequency range from 9 kHz to 7.5 GHz
  • Resolution bandwidth from 10 Hz to 1 MHz
  • Video bandwidth from 1 Hz to 3 MHz
  • Displayed average noise level as low as -161 dBm
  • Model-specific phase noise better than -98 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset
  • Typical absolute amplitude uncertainty below 0.3 dB
  • Level-measurement uncertainty below 0.8 dB
  • 10 MHz reference frequency
  • Initial reference-frequency accuracy below 1 ppm
  • Optional preamplifier for improved low-level signal detection
  • Tracking generator included on designated TG models
  • Optional EMI filter and quasi-peak detector for pre-compliance testing
  • Continuous and single-sweep operating modes
  • Eight-inch WVGA display with 800 × 480 resolution
  • LAN, LXI, USB Host, and USB Device connectivity
  • Optional USB-GPIB support for automated test systems
  • Standard 50 Ω input impedance
  • Maximum protected input level up to +20 dBm
  • Damage-resistant input level up to +30 dBm

The TG variants include a tracking generator for frequency-response measurements of filters, amplifiers, attenuators, cables, and other RF components. Optional EMI measurement features, including EMI filters and a quasi-peak detector, support troubleshooting and pre-compliance evaluation before formal electromagnetic-compatibility testing.

The eight-inch WVGA display provides clear spectrum visualisation and convenient access to frequency, amplitude, marker, trace, bandwidth, and sweep settings. Sweep times range from 1 ms to 1,500 seconds for spans of at least 100 Hz and from 20 μs to 7,500 seconds in zero-span mode, supporting both fast signal observation and detailed long-duration analysis.

LAN, LXI, USB Host, USB Device, and optional USB-GPIB interfaces allow the spectrum analyzer to connect with computers, laboratory networks, manufacturing systems, and automated test equipment. Its compact and lightweight construction makes it suitable for benchtop laboratories and portable field-testing applications.

Typical applications include RF signal analysis, EMI pre-compliance testing, wireless-device development, communication-system troubleshooting, filter and amplifier testing, interference detection, electronic manufacturing, quality control, equipment maintenance, engineering education, and laboratory research.
