Paddle Flow SwitchA Paddle type flow switch is used to detect flow or no flow in a horizontal / vertical pipe line. Their electrical signals can be used to generate an Alarm, safe guard a pump from dry run, shower systems, central heating systems, air conditioning / ventilation units & also digital outputs to a PLC or electronic control units.The flow of liquid in the pipeline forces the paddle to m ove in the direction of the flow. The flow required (LPM or LPH) to actuate the paddle depends on the line size. A magnet attached to the top of the paddle operates a reed switch, hence giving a potential free output.
