The Recom RSP150-168 is a clamping surge protector accessory designed specifically to protect DC/DC converters from transient voltage spikes common in railway applications, adhering to RIA12 and NF F01-510 standards. This accessory effectively shields converters by clamping voltage surges, ensuring system longevity and compliance with stringent surge immunity requirements.
This board-mount module allows straightforward integration as it can be inserted in series at the input of various power converter families including RP40-110xxSFR, RP75H-110xxSRW, RP90Q-110xxSRW, RPA100H-110xxSRUW, RPA120H-110xxSRW, and RP120Q-110xxSRW. It offers protection against over-voltage transients up to 385VDC, with the output voltage following the input between 40 to 165VDC and being clamped thereafter at 168VDC.
Designed to operate within a wide temperature range from -40°C to +95°C, this module supports maximum load ratings of 20W, 150W, or 300W depending on specific application requirements. Its compact board-mount form factor facilitates easy installation in various power supply systems.
