RS PRO 839-9796 4 Gang Socket Bar is a high-quality desktop power distribution unit operating at 230V with a 1-meter Type G cable. It features 4 individually fused UK sockets, providing robust power distribution with enhanced safety compliance to BS6396. The unit incorporates 2 Cat 6 RJ45 couplers, allowing for the connection of RJ45 cables to establish additional network points or internet access.

Constructed from tough aluminium, the socket bar is designed to withstand accidental impacts and daily use in demanding environments. The inclusion of a master switch and power indicator streamlines control and monitoring of connected devices. Its flat base and supplied G clamps facilitate secure mounting to desks or work surfaces, ensuring convenience and stability in office or laboratory settings.

Each UK mains socket is individually fused, making fault identification straightforward and helping to prevent electrical hazards. While surge protection and RCD protection are not incorporated, the unit does provide an earthing point for safety. The socket bar is finished in a professional silver and black colour scheme, fitting well within commercial, industrial, and laboratory usage scenarios where multiple devices require simultaneous mains power and network connectivity.

This power unit is especially suited to busy office environments, workshops, and technical settings where effective cable management and reliable power supply are essential. The inclusion of Cat6 couplers also makes it ideal for network expansion in conjunction with power distribution.
