Product Description
Lapp 54110844 Metallic Nickel Plated Brass Cable Gland Locknut M40 thread is engineered from robust nickel plated brass, delivering both durability and excellent environmental resistance in industrial and electrical applications. With a metallic color and high-quality construction, this locknut ensures reliable EMC-compliant earthing of copper braiding or cables with copper shaft sheath.
The cable gland locknut features a 360° low resistance screen contact via its brass EMC brush, which helps to protect against electromagnetic interference signals. It can be easily assembled and disassembled by screwing onto cable glands, improving maintenance and installation efficiency.
Operating within a temperature range from -20°C to +100°C dynamically, and capable of withstanding ambient temperatures from -70°C to 200°C, this locknut is suitable for a wide variety of demanding environments.
Applications include control cabinet manufacturing, automation systems, conveyor and transport mechanisms, and various machinery junction boxes. While the locknut itself does not provide environmental sealing, it does not compromise the IP rating of the cable gland it complements.
This product is part of the Lapp Skintop series, compatible with multiple ST-M cable glands ranging from M12x1.5 to M63x1.5 thread sizes. It ensures extra connection security in threadless boreholes, enhancing operational reliability.
