EAO 31-271.0252 illuminated push button switch is designed for versatile Human Machine Interface (HMI) panel mounting use, including process control, panel building, machinery, and instrumentation applications. It requires a 16mm panel cut out and accommodates panel thicknesses ranging from 1.5 to 6mm.

This switch offers multiple configuration options such as snap action or low-level switching elements, and momentary or maintained switching functions. The snap action element incorporates a self-cleaning, double-break switch system with solder terminals, while the low-level element supports low power electronic circuits from 10μA at 100μV up to 100mA at 42VAC/DC, and supports PCB mounting through universal terminals.

Illumination is provided by a T1 ¾ midget groove filament lamp or single chip LED operating between 6 and 48 volts. For supply voltages exceeding 48V, an external series resistor is required to protect the illumination element.

The switch and actuator housings are made of self-extinguishing materials and meet Class II electric strength requirements tested at 2500VAC 50Hz for 1 minute between terminals and earth, in accordance with IEC 60512-2-11 standards. This ensures safety and durability in industrial environments.

This product features a raised button profile for easy actuation, a long service life, stable contact resistance, and a short rebound time enhancing operational reliability. To complete the illuminated switch assembly, users must combine this switch with compatible lenses and lamps or LEDs, which are available under specific stock numbers for convenience.
