Product Description
TE Connectivity 5745175-1 is a high-quality AMPLIMITE Series Zinc Straight D-Sub Backshell designed for 50 way connectors. It provides effective shielding and strain relief for D-sub miniature connectors used widely in electronic and industrial power connector assemblies. The zinc housing material and zinc plating deliver excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical durability for harsh environments.
This product features a straight D-sub shell size D configuration, compatible with AMPLIMITE series connectors including HDE Metal-Shell and HDP Metal-Shell variants. It comprises a two-piece RFI/EMI shielded backshell kit that helps protect signal integrity by reducing electromagnetic interference. The kit includes zinc plated stainless steel 4-4- fillister head screws, hex nuts, and 4-40 mounting screws, ensuring secure and robust installation.
These backshells do not accept connector housings with clinch nuts and require jackscrews to be purchased separately for mounting. Stock number 680-9355 includes 4 grommets for strain relief applications. The zinc alloy shields are plated with bright nickel over bright copper, enhancing corrosion resistance and electrical shielding.
