Polyester Film Capacitor(Dipped), HCL23are film capacitors using a dielectric made of the thermoplastic polar polymer material polyethylene terephthalate (PET), trade names Hostaphan or Mylar, from the polyester family. They are used for printing and solvent-based coating applications. These films are often specified for printed labels, masking applications, engineering drawings, and face shields.
