Metallized Polypropylene Film AC Motor Capacitor (Cylindrical, Aluminum Case, Anti-Explosion), HCBB65 are available rated to 400VAC and beyond for industrial 3- phase applications and specialist equipment. They are also used in switch mode power supplies, frequency discrimina- tion and filter circuits, as well as in energy storage and sam- ple-and-hold applications. These capacitors use a thin plastic film as the dielectric - in this case polypropylene. The film is made very thin and to the required thickness using a sophisticated drawing process.
