Product Description
TE Connectivity 967398-000 DuraSeal Butt Splice Connector is a red insulated splice connector designed for crimp termination of copper wires ranging from 26 AWG minimum to 10 AWG maximum. The connector features a 3.7mm diameter barrel constructed of copper with tin plating for enhanced corrosion resistance and reliable electrical contact. It includes a heat-shrinkable nylon sleeve that provides environmental sealing, making it particularly suitable for use in automotive, marine, and other rugged applications where exposure to water, condensation, abrasion, or mechanical abuse may occur.
The crimp-style termination ensures a secure and durable connection, essential in power and signal wiring setups. During installation, the cable is inserted into the barrel, crimped in the usual manner, and then the heat-shrink sleeve is heated to shrink tightly around the insulation, sealing the joint with a special adhesive that flows to prevent moisture ingress.
