Product Description
RS PRO presents the IP66 Silver Lid Die Cast Aluminium Enclosure with external dimensions 30.3 mm height, 89.1 mm length, and 35 mm width, designed for reliable protection of electrical and electronic components.
Constructed from die cast aluminium alloy ADC 12 (LM24 to BS1490), this enclosure features a natural silver finish without external coating for high temperature resistance up to 250°C. The lid is lipped and incorporates a neoprene gasket seal ensuring an IP66 rating that protects against dust and moisture ingress, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments.
The enclosure is shielded to provide excellent EMI/RFI resistance, surpassing 40dB at 10MHz and 76dB at 100kHz. The design includes PCB mounting guides and vertical mounting options with guides on the inner surface. Taper of 1.5° per side ensures tight lid-to-base fit.
The lid fastening uses M3.5 x 9 mm supadrive countersunk stainless steel screws located outside the internal enclosure space, with a recommended tightening torque of 5.6 kg to maintain sealing integrity. No external coating is applied, allowing applications to paint if desired using powder paint.
