Stainless Steel SMS Union Din 11851 Fittings make it simple to assemble and disassemble stable, leak-proof connections. A nut is tightened around the male end of the link after a gasket is placed between the male and female liners. A DIN wrench, which is marketed separately, may be used to protect connections. It consist of a clutch thread with coarse, rounded thread edges making it easier to clean. SMS unions (Swedish Manufacturing Standard - SMS 1145) are a hygienic fitting that features a captive seal design to provide a smooth, crevice-free internal bore. They consist of a round slotted nut, weld liner and weld male with an L style seal available in a range of material types.
