The sewage is collected in a tank, called sewage sump or sewage collection tank. In case septic tank already exits, it can be used as sewage sump. The sewage sump will then constantly pumped into Packaged Domestic Sewerage Treatment Plant (PDSTP) by employing sewage lift pumps at a constant flow rate. PDSTP is of modular construction and comprises of Bar Screen, Collection Tank, Grit Chamber, Aeration Section- Fludised Aerobic Bed (FAB Reactor), Sedimentation Section (Tube Settler), Chlorine Contact Chamber and Treated Sewage Holding Chamber and Pressure Sand, Activated Carbon filter for fine filtration generating water suitable for auxiliary Application.
