Product Description
3M 47096 Cubitron II Ceramic Abrasive Disc 150 mm Very Fine Grade P240 Grit is engineered for demanding sanding and finishing tasks in industrial, automotive, and woodworking environments. This abrasive disc features 3M's precision-shaped ceramic grain technology delivering fast, aggressive cutting and extended life compared to conventional ceramic discs.
The disc is open-coated and has a uniform layer of ceramic minerals bonded with resin on a tear-resistant film backing. This backing ensures excellent edge retention and durability during beveling and chamfering tasks. The patented triangular grain structure maintains sharpness while reducing heat generation, resulting in consistent finishes with less operator fatigue.
These abrasives work effectively on hard and soft woods, metals, composites and gel coats, making them versatile for a wide range of surface preparation applications including millwork, maritime, shipbuilding, automotive, and furniture making.
The discs use the 3M™ Hookit™ hook and loop attachment system for quick and secure mounting on compatible angle grinders or orbital sanders with 150 mm backing pads (hookit pad 456-2439 sold separately). This allows rapid disc changes to increase productivity.
