FCT from Molex presents the FMS002 series female crimp D-Sub connector coaxial contact featuring gold over nickel plating on copper alloy socket contacts with a length of 22.95 mm. Rated for 2 ampere current, this crimp termination contact suits AWG 10 to 12 wires providing excellent electrical and mechanical performance.
These contacts are engineered for use in mixed layout connectors that combine power, coaxial, and signal contacts within the D-sub shell, making them ideal for applications requiring robust and reliable electrical connections in industrial, military, and commercial environments.
The gold over nickel plating reduces contact resistance to a maximum of 2.7 milliohms and ensures long service life with resistance to corrosion. The crimp style termination provides secure contact to wires, supporting cable assemblies needing dependable performance.
PCB holes for coax plug and socket include four 1.3 mm diameter holes on 5.08 mm centres plus a centre 1.3 mm hole, designed to suit these contacts. Note that the PCB mounting inserts are not suitable for use with right angle PCB connectors. Power contacts for higher currents have larger PCB hole sizes making this contact a specialized solution.
