Product Description

Alpha Wire 6710 GY005 EcoWire Series hook up wire combines advanced electrical performance with environmental sustainability. This Hook Up Wire features a 0.08 mm² copper conductor formed by 7 strands of 0.12 mm diameter each, conforming to 28 AWG standards, and is supplied in a 30 meter length.

The insulation is made from a halogen-free modified polyphenylene ether (mPPE) thermoplastic material, making the wire fully recyclable and reducing ecological impact without compromising on durability. The jacket material provides excellent dielectric strength allowing reduced wall thickness and lower weight compared to traditional PVC wires.

The wire is rated for a maximum operating voltage of 600 V and can safely operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 105°C. Its halogen-free composition enhances safety by limiting toxic gas emissions in case of fire, conforming to UL AWM 11028 VW-1, CSA AWM I A/B FT1, IEC 60332-2 flame behavior, RoHS, REACH, and CE certifications.

EcoWire 6710 GY005's flexibility and reliable conductivity are well suited for a wide range of industrial, laboratory, and commercial applications including control panels, automotive wiring, electronic devices, meters, ovens, and internal wiring of computers and business machines.

Additional features include up to 45% smaller diameter and up to 40% lighter weight than conventional PVC insulated wires. The wire is also flame retardant and resistant to hazardous oils and chemicals in the EcoWire Plus variant.
