Ruland MJS19-6-A is a flexible jaw coupler designed for mechanical power transmission applications requiring zero backlash and torque damping. The coupler has a 19.1 mm outside diameter, 6 mm finished bore without keyway, and a length of 27.2 mm, supporting speeds up to 8000 rpm.

The coupling uses a three-piece construction composed of two aluminium hubs and an elastic polyurethane spider insert. The spider absorbs impulse loads, reducing mechanical shock and protecting motors and equipment. Available with spider hardness levels of 92 Shore for optimal damping and 98 Shore for enhanced torsional rigidity, the coupling can be customized to specific performance requirements.

The zero-backlash curved jaw design ensures smooth torque transmission and helps electrically isolate components. It is balanced to withstand high bearing loads and accommodates slight angular, axial, and parallel misalignments, enhancing its versatility. The fail-safe design allows continued operation even in the event of spider element failure, which improves reliability.

Note that one complete coupling assembly requires two hubs and a torque disc; only one hub is supplied with this product. Additional parts must be ordered separately to complete the assembly.
