RS PRO 239-4533 Type K Exposed Junction Thermocouple is a precision temperature sensor designed for industrial and laboratory applications requiring accurate temperature sensing over a range from -75 °C to 250 °C. This exposed junction thermocouple features a welded tip where the wires are joined but not enclosed in a sheath, allowing for very fast response times.
The probe diameter is 1 mm and the cable length is 10 meters, insulated with robust Perfluoroalkoxy Alkane (PFA) material for excellent resistance against oils, acids, fluids, and mechanical wear. The bare wire tail terminal allows for flexible connection in various setups.
A thermocouple operates based on the Seebeck effect, where two dissimilar metal wires joined at junctions produce a voltage proportional to temperature difference.
