Product Description

InnoDisk EGP2-X401-W1 Networking Module PCIe is a high-performance device server that converts M.2 interface signals to four independent RS-232/422/485 serial ports, enabling versatile communication in industrial and commercial networking applications. It features PCI Express 2.0 input and four DB-9 connectors for serial output, supporting serial data speeds ranging from 4800 bps to 3 Mbps, with RS-232 speeds up to 921.6 Kbps.

Designed for rugged industrial environments, this module supports operating temperatures from -40°C to 85°C, ensuring reliability under harsh conditions. The module is powered by a stable 3.3V supply and has low power consumption of just 0.58W.

The product includes a 16C550 UART compatible controller with 256-byte FIFOs to handle data efficiently. Users benefit from flexibility with alternative vertical or horizontal connector orientations to suit various system layouts. Full RS-232 functions are provided through DB-9 connectors, and a DIP switch allows enabling or disabling the termination resistor as needed for signal integrity.

This networking module conforms to the EN61000-4-2 standard for electrostatic discharge protection, capable of withstanding air discharges at 15 kV and contact discharges at 8 kV, safeguarding the module and connected equipment.
