Product Description
RS PRO 186-2477 Analogue DC Voltmeter is a high-precision panel mount device designed for monitoring DC voltages from 15mV to 600V with an accuracy of 1%. It features a 45 mm by 45 mm cutout suitable for integration into control and switchgear panels across industrial, laboratory, and process control environments.
The voltmeter utilises a rugged moulded polycarbonate square case which provides protection and easy mounting. It employs a permanent magnet moving coil mechanism, including an aluminium coil suspended on pivots with a hairspring and jewel bearing system, for precise measurement and average value display. The instrument contains a knife-edge pointer that deflects through 90 degrees for clear and quick readings.
Measurement of high currents up to 1A is facilitated through separate external shunts connected to the rear terminals. The instrument is designed to withstand industrial environmental conditions with operating temperatures between -10°C and 65°C and storage limits from -25°C to 75°C. Shock resistance of 15g for 11 millisecond pulses ensures durability against sudden vibrations or impacts.
This voltmeter supports a continuous overload capacity up to 1.2 times its nominal voltage rating. It offers excellent protection with an IP52 ingress rating and complies with international safety and quality standards such as CE, UL 94 V-0, and relevant EMC and low voltage directives.
