Product Description
RS PRO 847-1062 is a Type K Mineral Insulated Thermocouple designed for precise temperature measurement in industrial and laboratory applications. Its stainless steel 310 probe sheath and mineral insulated flexible sheath ensure durability, corrosion resistance, and mechanical strength, enabling it to withstand demanding environments with temperatures up to 1100 °C.
This thermocouple conforms to ANSI MC96.1 standards and features a plain pot seal rated for 200 °C. It incorporates an insulated hot junction to minimize electrical interference, providing stable and accurate temperature readings.
The thermocouple consists of two dissimilar metal conductors joined at the measuring junction, generating a voltage signal proportional to temperature differences (Seebeck Effect). The mineral insulation made of compacted magnesium oxide allows fast heat transfer, resulting in rapid response times and protecting the internal wires from environmental damage and corrosion.
