RS PRO IP66 Die Cast Aluminium Enclosure with Silver Lid, measuring 55.9 mm height, 222.1 mm length, and 145.9 mm width, is engineered to provide exceptional shielding and protection for sensitive electronic components. Made from high-quality ADC 12 aluminium alloy, the enclosure boasts robust construction capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C without degradation. The natural aluminium finish maintains durability while allowing customization through powder coating.
The enclosure’s shielded design includes a lipped lid, providing EMI/RFI screening with suppression levels exceeding 40dB at 10MHz and 76dB at 100 kHz. The lid’s 3 mm thickness incorporates a neoprene gasket seal rated for temperature ranges of -20°C to +80°C, ensuring excellent environmental protection and IP66 certification that guarantees resistance to dust ingress and powerful water jets.
Assembly is facilitated by M3.5 x 9 mm Supadrive countersunk stainless steel screws, installed outside the inner enclosure space, and the lid-to-base taper of 1.5° per side offers a tight and secure fit.
