Product Description
RS PRO 282-0250 Black POM Plastic Sheet is a high-quality POM-C acetal solid plastic sheet measuring 500 mm in length, 300 mm in width, and 40 mm in thickness. This black sheet is made from polyoxymethylene, a semi-crystalline thermoplastic known for toughness, chemical resistance, and excellent mechanical properties.
RS PRO's POM-C acetal material features superior rigidity, high tensile strength of 55 MPa, M 86 Rockwell hardness, and excellent wear and sliding capabilities which make it highly suitable for precision engineering applications. Its black coloring improves UV protection and it withstands temperatures up to 100°C while being resistant to hot water.
This plastic sheet demonstrates exceptional resistance to dilute acids, common cleaning agents, and many solvents, along with low water absorption of 0.5%. It provides very good electrical insulation and is easy to machine, polish, and weld, although bonding poses challenges.
