Product Description
A Pipe Clamp Thermocouple Sensor is used in the temperature measurement of pipes and circular surfaces.Clamp-type thermocouples are used for measuring temperature when it is difficult or impossible to place a probe directly into the sample. The clamp-type thermocouple consists of two wires which are placed in contact with each other. One wire is connected to a junction box while the second wire is connected to a sensor. When the thermocouple is exposed to heat, the temperature difference between the junction box and the sensor causes the wires to expand. This expansion creates an electrical potential that can be measured using a voltmeter.
