The voltmeter utilizes a permanent magnet moving coil movement comprising an aluminium coil, magnet, hairspring, jewel mechanism and a knife-edge type pointer that provides clear linear calibrated scale readings. It is suitable for accurate average voltage indication with an accuracy of 1% and pointer deflection from 0° to 90°.

The robust moulded polycarbonate casing ensures durability and electrical safety while maintaining a compact size. The instrument withstands operating temperatures ranging from -10°C to +65°C and continuous overload of 1.2 times the nominal voltage, enabling it to operate reliably in harsh industrial environments.

The device has shock resistance up to 15g for short pulse durations and tolerates relative humidity below 75% annual average in non-condensing conditions.
