A conductivity meter is an instrument used to measure electrical resistance. The most common type of conductivity meter uses two electrodes, which are connected to a voltmeter or ammeter. A sample of water is placed between the electrodes, and the voltage across the electrodes is measured. The higher the voltage, the more conductive the water.
