An effluent treatment plant is used to treat wastewater before it is released into the environment. The effluent treatment plant has an aeration tank which helps in removing suspended solids and organic matter from the wastewater. This process is done using air diffusers or air stones. These are placed in the bottom of the tank and they create bubbles that lift the solid particles out of the water. The effluent treatment plants can be made up of different types of tanks depending upon the type of wastewater that needs to be treated.
