Product Details
Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), or BHT, is an antioxidant used as a preservative in foods such as margarine, butter, mayonnaise, salad dressings, and baked goods. BHT has been shown to be safe when consumed at levels found in food products. However, it can cause liver damage if ingested in high doses. The FDA recommends limiting intake to no more than 1 mg per day.
