Central Driven clarifiers are suitable for tanks up to 50 meters of diameter. The clarifier has a special drive unit which is fitted to the shaft or cage. Clarifiers work on the principle of gravity settling. The heavier suspended solids settle in the clarifier due to the quiescent conditions provided in the Clarification zone.
