RS PRO 226-3815 is a high-quality Nitrile Rubber (NBR) rotary shaft seal engineered to deliver reliable sealing performance in various mechanical systems. With its 40 mm inside diameter and 55 mm outside diameter, complemented by a 7 mm thickness, this seal is designed for effective fluid retention and contamination prevention in rotating shafts.

The nitrile rubber material provides excellent resistance to oils, greases, and hydraulic fluids, making it suitable for use in driveshafts, crankshafts, and hydraulic cylinders where lubrication is critical. The seal operates efficiently across a temperature range from -20°C to 90°C, maintaining its sealing integrity under typical mechanical and industrial conditions.

This black-colored NBR seal is the most commonly available and cost-effective option for rotary sealing applications. It is specifically engineered to resist degradation from lubrication oils, hydraulic fluids, and grease, though it is not recommended for use with brake oils, phosphoric ester, or ester-based fluids.
