Product Description

RS PRO 196-4667 2 Core Power Cable with a cable sectional area of 1.5mm², designed for high performance in electrical power and industrial cable applications. The cable features a black polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket that offers excellent flame retardant properties and protection against external mechanical stresses.

This Power Cable includes two cores made from annealed copper which is stranded and conforms to BS EN60228 standards. It is insulated with thermosetting XLPE Type GP8 and has compatible polymeric bedding, galvanized steel wire armour, and PVC Type 9 sheathing manufactured as per BS 7655 and BS 5467 standards.

The cable operates at a safe voltage level of up to 1000V (AC) and withstands a maximum temperature of 90°C, while the minimum operating temperature is -15°C. Its nominal outside diameter is 11mm, and it features 7 strands per core, each 0.53mm in size, providing flexibility and mechanical strength.

The cable jacket is made from polyvinyl chloride providing electrical insulation and flame retardance. Conductor material consists of plain annealed copper class 2 for efficient conductivity. Steel wire armouring enhances durability and protection against mechanical damage.
