STMicroelectronics STEVAL-IDB008V2 Communication & Wireless Evaluation Kit is an advanced evaluation platform based on the BlueNRG-2 low power Bluetooth smart system on chip. Featuring 256 KB Flash memory and 24 KB RAM, it adheres to the Bluetooth SMART v5.0 specification, enabling master, slave, and simultaneous master-and-slave roles. Operating at a maximum frequency of 8 MHz, this kit supports extended data length features of Bluetooth Low Energy for enhanced wireless communications.

The evaluation board is equipped with multiple hardware resources essential for diverse application scenarios such as sensor data acquisition via accelerometer, pressure, and temperature sensors. It also provides remote control capabilities with buttons and LEDs. Communication and debugging are facilitated by a USB virtual COM interface offering efficient message management.

The Bluetooth SMART board employs the BlueNRG-1 Bluetooth low energy system on chip and is accompanied by an associated BlueNRG-1 development kit software package that includes firmware and comprehensive documentation.
