RS PRO RJ45 Ethernet Media Converter RJ45 model provides an efficient solution to connect different cable types in industrial ethernet environments. Designed for single mode fiber optics, it supports full duplex transmission at speeds of 100Mbps and achieves distances up to 2 km with a wavelength of 1310 nm.
This converter features easy surface mounting and a compact form factor measuring 135 x 73.4 x 23 mm, suitable for space-constrained setups. Its Auto-Negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX capabilities simplify installation by automatically selecting optimal speed and allowing use of either crossover or straight-through cables.
Compliant with international standards IEEE 802.3 and IEEE 802.3u and certified to RoHS, FCC, and CE, this media converter ensures reliable and safe network performance. It supports VLAN tagging (802.1q) and transparent Q in Q double tagged frames, facilitating complex network segmentation.
Management functionalities include local and remote in-band monitoring and configuration via SNMP, bandwidth control, and remote CPE power failure detection with dying gasp signals. Additional features include Far End Fault Indication, Link Fault Pass-Through, Auto Laser Shutdown, and Loop Back Test capabilities.
Supports 10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX conversion with 9 (ST) fiber connector. Maximum packet forwarding size is 2046 bytes in switch mode and 9K jumbo packets in converter mode. Indicators provide detailed status for power, fiber link, transmit speed, transmit link, duplex mode, and fault condition.
