RS PRO 796-2069 Miniature Microwave Detector is engineered for efficient presence detection using microwave radiation combined with a PIR sensor, delivering precise automatic lighting controls for commercial and industrial applications.

This miniature detector measures 43mm in length, 39mm in width, and 18mm in height, designed for unobtrusive flush mounting into ceiling tiles or solid ceilings with the included clips. The RJ11 plug facilitates straightforward installation and integration.

Operating reliably within a temperature range of -10°C to 80°C, the device is IP40 rated and Class 2 certified, making it suitable for indoor environments such as offices, warehouses, and general occupancy areas. Movement detection via the PIR sensor triggers the lighting load automatically, with load turn-off after an adjustable time-out period when areas become unoccupied.

The 796-2069 model supports multiple lighting loads including incandescent, fluorescent, and compact fluorescent types. In addition to standard switching, the series offers premium, direct dim, and analogue dim variants controlling up to 10 ballasts including DALI, DSI digital dimming, and 1-10V analogue dimming ballasts respectively.

All detector functionality is fully programmable using an IR handset to tailor operation to specific lighting and occupancy requirements. The integrated light level sensor allows ambient light detection for daylight compensation and enhanced energy savings.
