Deltron 480-0080 is a die cast aluminium enclosure from the 480 Series featuring robust IP68 ingress protection as per IEC standard 60529 and BS EN60529:1992. With external dimensions of 106.7 mm height, 222.3 mm length, and 146 mm width, this enclosure is designed to protect sensitive electrical components in demanding environments.

The enclosure body is constructed from die cast aluminium providing excellent mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. It incorporates a hard neoprene rubber seal with self-adhesive backing, and the lid sealing is aided by seal location lugs and secured with M3.5 x 12 stainless steel fixing screws. The minimum enclosure wall and lid thickness is 1.5 mm, and the seal frame width is a minimum 4.0 mm ensuring high durability and sealing effectiveness.

This enclosure is rated IP68, providing the highest level of protection against ingress of dust and water, capable of withstanding immersion up to 5 meters for 1 hour. It is certified under BS EN 60529:1992 standard and conforms to RoHS regulations, making it suitable for environmentally sensitive applications.

Additional features include PCB mounting guides on selected models and availability of a shielded (EMC) version with a carbon loaded silicone seal for electromagnetic interference protection.
