FTDI Chip RS232 USB to RS232 Converter Cable RS232 is a desktop mount device integrating an FTDI FT232RQ interface IC, providing USB to RS232 serial UART communication with maximum baud rates up to 1Mbps. The cable features built-in USB protocol electronics and a transparent USB connector for effective data transfer.
It supports EIA/TIA-232 and V.28/V.24 standards for reliable serial communication, and the UART interface accommodates 7 or 8 data bits with 1 or 2 stop bits. An internal EEPROM stores configuration settings, while the integrated LED allows for traffic monitoring during operation.
Designed to be RoHS compliant and CE approved, the converter cable is compatible with USB 2.0 full speed and supports major USB host protocols including UHCI, OHCI, and EHCI. The black cable terminates with wire-ended, tinned connectors for easy adaptation to various devices and connectors.
