Product Description
Hammond 1594RFIABK is a black lid flame retardant ABS enclosure with IP54 protection, measuring 40.1 mm height by 56 mm width and length. It is engineered for robust industrial and electrical use cases requiring EMI/RFI shielding, such as PCB mounting in automation, electrical enclosures, laboratory instrumentation, and manufacturing environments.
The enclosure’s body is constructed from a conductive plastic combining ABS flame retardant plastic and stainless steel fibres, providing excellent electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference shielding with a durable, thick wall structure. This conductive plastic, however, should not be treated as an insulator; any significant current flow may cause heating.
The countersunk lid secures with four Philips machine screws (M3x0.5-0.71 in.) threaded into brass bushings, allowing convenient repetitive assembly and disassembly. The black matte textured exterior adds to the enclosure's durability and professional appearance.
