RS PRO IP66 Silver Silver Lid Die Cast Aluminium Enclosure offers a shielded and durable housing solution mainly designed to protect industrial and electronic components from dust, moisture, and electromagnetic interference.
Constructed from ADC 12 aluminium die cast alloy, this enclosure provides a natural silver finish without external coatings but can be powder painted according to application needs. Its lid is lipped and tapered at 1.5° for a precise fit, ensuring effective EMI/RFI shielding exceeding 40dB at 10MHz and 76dB at 100 kHz frequencies.
The enclosure features a neoprene gasket seal that is self-adhesive and maintains integrity from -20°C to +80°C. Its IP66 rating confirms resistance against dust ingress and powerful water jets, making it ideal for harsh industrial and manufacturing environments.
Mounting guides are included for PCB installation and vertical placement, located inside the enclosure to optimize equipment layout. The fastening system uses stainless steel Supadrive screws with a defined torque to guarantee a secure lid fit while keeping the internal workspace free from obstruction.
