Product Description

RF Solutions ZULU-M-ARDUINO is an Arduino-compatible radio modem shield designed to enable wireless communication over the 868MHz ISM band. It adds a reliable bi-directional wireless serial data link to Arduino or compatible processor boards, making it suitable for IoT and embedded communication applications.

The ZULU-M868 Modem module features an integrated RF transceiver based on the Si1000 system on chip with an 8051 microcontroller core, 64KB flash memory, and 4352 bytes of RAM. It supports FSK modulation with a data rate of up to 115 kbps and communicates via a serial UART interface with RTS/CTS flow control, supporting host data rates up to 38400 bps.

The shield operates in the 868MHz ISM band with five selectable RF channels and delivers a +20 dBm RF power output, achieving a range of up to 2000 meters. Receiver sensitivity is -121 dBm, ensuring robust wireless links. The shield supports various modes including one-to-many and many-to-one wireless communication configurations.

Additional features include LED indicators for power and transmit/receive activity, jumper links for setting host data rate and controlling Arduino's sleep and reset modes, and an SMA connector for antenna connection. The device supports OTA configuration and has a programmable unique system identifier for network management.
