Product Description

EAO 31-451.036 Illuminated Push Button Switch is designed with a Button Actuator and requires a 16mm panel cut-out. It is manufactured in Switzerland and is suited for various Human Machine Interface (HMI) panel mounting applications such as Process Control, Panel Building, Machinery, and Instrumentation.

The switch is available with different bezel shapes including round (18mm diameter), square (18x18mm), and rectangular (18x24mm). It offers snap action or low level switching elements combined with momentary or maintained switching actions, allowing customization for specific operational needs.

The snap action element features a self-cleaning, double-break mechanism with solder terminals, while the low level element supports switching of electronic circuit loads from microamps to 100mA at 42Vac/dc, using universal terminals for direct soldering or PCB installation.

Illumination is achieved with a T1 ¾ midget filament lamp or single chip LED supporting voltages between 6 and 48V. For voltages above 48V, an external series resistor is required. The switch housing is constructed from self-extinguishing material, meeting Class II safety standards and offering electric strength of 2500Vac at 50Hz for one minute between terminals and earth as per IEC 60512-2-11.

This product supports panel thickness from 1.5mm to 6mm, boasting a long operational life, short mechanical rebound, and stable contact resistance. Configurations include normally open or normally closed contacts with snap action or low level switching elements, and momentary or maintained actions.

Accessories such as lenses (stock numbers 749-2611, 248-5425, 248-5374), filament lamps (655-9211), LEDs (225-997), and a dedicated toolkit (248-5481) are available to complete the illuminated switch assembly.
